What Does a Maintenance Technician Do?

This role involves maintaining shop tools, supporting detailing and repair teams, and performing basic vehicle-related tasks that keep daily workflow efficient and safe. From equipment calibration to simple mechanical checks, you’ll help ensure every job can be performed smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on shop tools, pressure washers, vacuums, extractors, compressors, and lighting equipment

• Inspect hoses, fittings, and seals for leaks and replace or repair components as needed

• Assist technicians with simple mechanical tasks such as checking fluids, inspecting filters, or preparing tools

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace including shop floors, drains, equipment bays, and supply areas

• Monitor inventory and restock chemicals, microfiber, pads, and detailing supplies

• Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs when necessary

• Follow safety protocols and ensure the shop remains compliant with OSHA and chemical-handling guidelines
